How We Can Help With Packaged Solutions
There are situations that are most easily accommodated by pre-packaged applications or services. Recognizing this, B2B Technologies has developed several solutions to aid our customers in this area. Each addresses specific needs we have found to be valuable at conserving precious resources of both capital and time.
· Supplier Link Portal
· QuickStart for SharePoint
· QuickStart for Live@edu
· Student 360
As you read about each of the packaged solutions below, understand that in most instances, B2B Consultants can further modify the applications to handle unique needs of your organization or upgrade a QuickStart service to one that is more robust.
Supplier Link Portal
This application provides integrated functionality for organizations such as Manufacturers where supplier dependency is critical to sustaining the company's operations. Because many smaller vendors of both specialized and generalized products are not at the same level of automation as their clients, (particularly regarding the logistics of provisioning and tracking open orders), the B2B Supplier Link Portal application eliminates these types of technology and functional inequities.
By communicating orders or purchase releases via an extranet site, supply-side vendors can review, accept and/or update the status or any requests. This can assure the purchasing agent that goods or services will be available when needed. Additional functions include:
· Order status including new, confirmed, cancelled, or modified requests
· Vendor scorecard and rating information to aid in vendor selection
· Exception request handling to provide purchasing with alternatives
· Shipment and receipt processing to speed accurate delivery to the company
· Required accounting information for both the purchase and supplier
· Vendor contact information for communication and administrative use
· User selectable reporting to fit the specific business requirements
· Modifiable API for interfacing to ERP/MRP applications
QuickStart for SharePoint
This prepackaged services solution can give a new SharePoint user a rapid pilot implementation of the application, providing maximum availability of standard features at a fixed cost.
Features of this QuickStart package include:
· A briefing session on SharePoint QuickStart
· Review of technical issues for support personnel
· Installation of the Software
· Basic environment verification, configuration, and build out
· Review of search, security, and look-and-feel considerations
Consultants with B2B Technologies will review the benefits and limitations of the QuickStart SharePoint services package to validate the client's expectations. If required, we can also propose other SharePoint implementation services that are more robust and may be a better solution if a full production portal solution is required.
QuickStart for Live@edu
B2B has been part of several large Live@edu implementations, both direct with the client and working with Microsoft Consulting Services. This free Live@edu platform application is part of the "cloud" computing service that is being rapidly adopted as way to provide a commercial email system for students and alumni at no cost to the institution. In the course of these engagements, we have been responsible for all relevant aspects of the implementation including migration and integration required for delivery of a successful deployment.
As a service to both K12 and Higher Ed clients looking to get their Outlook Live email system up and live quickly, we have developed several QuickStart options that can provision email accounts within as little as a few days depending on implementation options. B2B can optionally implement Outlook Live for staff, instructors, and other stakeholders on-premise.
Student 360
Student 360 is not only an application that accomplishes the normal goals of an e-Portfolio system, but provides far more capabilities for advisory and collaborative functions. This new product, first of its kind, provides students a mechanism to see connections between their academic courses, community service, extra-curricular activities and their career-related experiences. It also provides one place where students can complete non-graded advisor-assigned activities or upload instructor-assigned documents. Other functions listed below, give students wide latitude in developing their own personalized world as it relates to their academic experience. In addition, because it is built on Microsoft’s SharePoint portal product, it leverages a wide range of web features inherent in that application while providing optional integration into the Microsoft Desktop applications such as Outlook. Using a familiar interface, students, administrators, instructors, and other staff will find it easy to learn with little training.
