B2B Technologies, Asheville City Schools Build Collaborative Portal

Atlanta, Georgia - August 4, 2005 - Asheville (North Carolina) City Schools is the latest K-12 educational system to work with B2B Technologies, a leading e-business technology expert, Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Microsoft Education Partner, to build and deploy a web-based collaborative portal.

Each of Asheville City Schools' K-12 school systems worked with B2B Technologies to implement selected components of Microsoft's Learning Gateway Framework (LGF), an integrated solutions platform which connects the people, information and processes that improve education. SharePoint Portal Server functions as collaborative engine of the portal.

This multi-phased technology effort provided the school district and each of its schools with public and private websites. In addition, district administrators now use a collaborative portal to access "an administrative dashboard." of school-specific information. Utilizing a dynamic administrative dashboard of targeted content and data is expected to produce better decisions in a shorter amount of time.

In addition to building the collaborative portal, B2B Technologies provided consulting, development and training services related to the integration and deployment of Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server.
