B2B Technologies Jumpstarts National Service Industries' First Foray Into .NET Framework

Atlanta, Georgia – June 12, 2004 – B2B Technologies, a leading e-business technology expert and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced that it has completed an educational and co-development project with National Services Industries (NSI), successfully beginning that company’s major transition into Microsoft’s .NET Framework.

“We intend to move all of our applications to Microsoft’s .NET Framework but we lacked the in-house expertise to get started on what we knew would be a massive undertaking,” explained Ed Ringer, CIO of National Service Industries. “We opted to partner with B2B Technologies in two key areas: building .NET expertise within our in-house staff and co-developing the first application that would work under the .NET Framework. B2B Technologies delivered on both fronts – in just six weeks.”

To build .NET expertise inside NSI, B2B Technologies conducted an intensive training course spanning several days. Then, NSI staff, working in concert with B2B Technologies’ experts, put their newly found knowledge to work in the co-development project. The result was a customer-facing e-commerce application that allows customers to order custom envelopes over the Internet. NSI expects to re-engineer all of its existing applications to operate in the .NET Framework and to build new, custom applications as well.
