Custom Intranet App Developed for SunTrust by B2B Technologies

ATLANTA, GA - March 29, 2000 – B2B Technologies, developers and integrators of Web-based software systems, has completed the development of a custom workflow system for SunTrust Bank of Atlanta. SunTrust reports that over 400 users are now regularly employing the system, which runs across the company’s intranet.

Totally browser-based, the new workflow system replaces many manual, paper-based processes. By greatly reducing paperwork, increasing productivity and enhancing control over managed projects, the new system supports a higher degree of coordination and efficiency among disparate SunTrust departments.

In developing the system, B2B Technologies worked closely with system designers PriceWaterhouseCoopers. B2B Tech provided technical mentoring and training for several SunTrust employees who will support the system in the future.

Developed because SunTrust’s workflow needs were too unique for any off-the-shelf software, the custom system provides a digital repository of workflow documents which can be viewed through any browser. Microsoft Word and Excel documents are fully supported.

B2B Technologies will continue its relationship with SunTrust through ongoing enhancements to the custom work flow system.
